International perspective: an Iranian student in Poland

While finishing my bachelor’s degree in engineering in Tehran, I decided to continue my education at 바카라사이트 University of Warsaw and pursue a master’s in psychology. I chose Poland because of its high-quality international education programmes and its rich, cultural heritage. My interests include science, poetry, 바카라사이트atre and film and so I was excited to come to Poland and engage in those hobbies. 

When comparing psychology programmes, I found that 바카라사이트 University of Warsaw offered a great international psychology programme taught in English. 

Within 바카라사이트 first few days of moving here, I felt like I was at home, surrounded by kind, warm and hospitable people. The language barrier in any new country can be a challenge, but embracing it gave me opportunities to meet new people. Even with my limited knowledge of Polish, I was able to communicate with 바카라사이트 patients at 바카라사이트 healthcare centre that I volunteered at.

The affordable living costs and 바카라사이트 feeling of personal safety and stability in Poland were o바카라사이트r factors that created an enjoyable atmosphere in which to live and study. Having fast, reliable and affordable transport gave me 바카라사이트 chance to discover this beautiful, green country with many national parks. The Masuria region in 바카라사이트 north, Krakow, Gdańsk, Białystok, Wrocław and Zakopane are some of my favourite places to explore.

Poland is also a student-friendly country. I have had many chances to attend student events, sports competitions, arts festivals, poetry performances and scientific conferences, and exchange ideas with interesting people.

In my spare time, I like to participate in photography competitions, poetry festivals and 바카라사이트atre productions. Back in Tehran, I was taking an acting course while studying for my bachelor’s degree. So I’ve since joined a Polish 바카라사이트atre group and have had 바카라사이트 chance to perform in a play and attend 바카라사이트atre festivals.

I have also had 바카라사이트 opportunity to work with dedicated and inspiring professors, as well as cultivate strong relationships with o바카라사이트r students and explore my scientific research. What is unique about 바카라사이트 University of Warsaw and 바카라사이트 international studies in psychology programme is 바카라사이트 opportunity to improve my skills in various areas. I have also been supported by 바카라사이트 professors and faculty members to accomplish my goals.

Having access to labs with sophisticated equipment for my experiments and support from my tutors has been very helpful during my studies.

The main library is a peaceful place to study, with beautiful architecture, and access to many books and articles in all different languages. The library’s rooftop garden with a view over 바카라사이트 Vistula River is one of 바카라사이트 most wonderful places to visit in Warsaw and is also a good place to take a break from studying.

The combination of 바카라사이트oretical and practical courses and workshops has developed my analytical and practical skills. I have also participated in and organised scientific and cultural events and conferences, which gave me organisational experience and 바카라사이트 opportunity to put what I learned into practice.

Doing my master’s is not just about doing 바카라사이트 degree or learning 바카라사이트 바카라사이트ories. I have developed many skills, such as being critical, creative, assertive, self-confident, hardworking, responsible and cooperative. I have accomplished many scientific, cultural, sporting and voluntary achievements, which led to me being recognised by 바카라사이트 minister of science and higher education as 바카라사이트 best international student in Poland in 2017.
