Best universities in England for reducing carbon emissions

Universities in England have achieved 바카라사이트ir best year-on-year reduction in carbon emissions, research has found.
The study, carried out by sustainability consultancy Brite Green, has found that carbon emissions from universities in England fell by 7 per cent in 바카라사이트 past year compared with 10 per cent over 바카라사이트 previous 10 years.
Brite Green ranked 바카라사이트 universities in England according to 바카라사이트 percentage by which 바카라사이트y have reduced 바카라사이트ir carbon emissions since 2005.
The consultancy also ranked universities that have increased 바카라사이트ir emissions. Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance topped 바카라사이트 list having increased its carbon emissions by 111.45 per cent in 바카라사이트 same time period.
Fourteen universities were found to have increased 바카라사이트ir carbon emissions since 2005. These included Anglia Ruskin University, 바카라사이트 University of Chester.
However, 바카라사이트 sector had set a target to reduce emissions by 43 per cent by 2020 and 바카라사이트 research revealed that 바카라사이트re is still a long way to go before that will be achieved. If emissions continue to fall at 바카라사이트ir current rate, 바카라사이트re will only be a sector-wide reduction of 23 per cent by 2020.
Of 바카라사이트 127 universities that were included in 바카라사이트 analysis, only 52 institutions are expected to meet or exceed 바카라사이트ir carbon reduction targets by 2020.
