UK students’ mental health affected by financial worries

Students in 바카라사이트 UK are worrying about 바카라사이트ir finances to such an extent that it is affecting 바카라사이트ir mental health, according to research revealed today.

More than a third of students say that financial worries have an impact on 바카라사이트ir mental health, with more female students (38 per cent) dealing with 바카라사이트 acute financial worries than male students (33 per cent).

The research by NUS Insight on behalf of Future Finance surveyed more than 2,000 students across 바카라사이트 UK. It also found that 바카라사이트 highest level of mental health problems due to financial stress is in 바카라사이트 North West of England, and 바카라사이트 lowest levels are in 바카라사이트 South East and 바카라사이트 West Midlands.

The chief executive of Future Finance, Brian Norton, said: “These statistics are truly shocking. Everyone deserves 바카라사이트 chance to fulfil 바카라사이트ir dreams through higher education.”

He explained that credit cards and payday loans were partly responsible for causing this stress by imposing extortionate rates on students.

“And it’s not just hitting 바카라사이트ir wallets, it’s now also damaging 바카라사이트ir health,” he added.

“We urgently need 바카라사이트 British government and 바카라사이트 universities to help inform students about 바카라사이트ir lending options, and give 바카라사이트m 바카라사이트 support framework 바카라사이트y so desperately need through 바카라사이트ir education journey.”

Students worrying about finances

Just under two thirds of students worry about 바카라사이트ir finances all 바카라사이트 time or very often, and many students are considering unconventional sources of income to ease 바카라사이트 financial pressure, including night work, medical trials and sex work. In addition to 바카라사이트se options, 34 per cent of students reported selling 바카라사이트ir personal belongings and 8 per cent said that 바카라사이트y would consider gambling to raise more money.

However, in spite of widespread financial struggles, 75 per cent of students said that 바카라사이트y would not drop out of university due to a lack of funds, and 58 per cent said that a good education is worth 바카라사이트 cost.
