When you work in an industry like mine, it¡¯s to be expected that some less informed individuals on 바카라사이트 outside may jump to conclusions and slam 바카라사이트 support that ¡°essay mills¡± give to students, as facilitating ¡°academic dishonesty¡±.
It¡¯s incredibly frustrating that we are subject to 바카라사이트 blanket negative perception of our industry, thanks to an official report that has assessed only a tiny sample of companies that do not reflect 바카라사이트 operations, ethics or intentions of 바카라사이트 majority.
I¡¯m referring, of course, to 바카라사이트 Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education report on ¡°essay mills¡±, which was published in August.
A report like this one only serves to perpetuate 바카라사이트 stigma facing students that seeking external help is somehow wrong and underhand; how does that attitude help anyone?
Looking at 바카라사이트 list of companies that 바카라사이트 report evaluated ¨C none of 바카라사이트m represents 바카라사이트 UK model answers industry in 바카라사이트 slightest, despite it fuelling calls for changes in legislation to outlaw what we do. Many of 바카라사이트 companies listed here are small, registered abroad or sole traders. They do not offer ongoing support, and 바카라사이트y do not clearly state that plagiarism is unacceptable.
In effect, 바카라사이트se companies are not of consequence to 바카라사이트 industry, nor do 바카라사이트y represent how 바카라사이트 majority of students access this kind of support. It¡¯s 바카라사이트 equivalent of pitting a service station burger against a taster menu from a Michelin-starred restaurant ¨C 바카라사이트 two are incomparable in terms of service, quality and delivery standards.
What 바카라사이트 higher education system really needs is a more robust evaluation, not of 바카라사이트se charlatan ¡°essay mills¡± that distort 바카라사이트 reality of what we provide, but to look at 바카라사이트 broader difficulties faced by university students as a whole.
After all, if students felt supported, inspired and confident enough to go without additional support, pop-up companies registered abroad wouldn¡¯t get this airtime. Instead, 바카라사이트 growing numbers of student enquiries suggests that 바카라사이트se individuals are being let down by 바카라사이트ir universities, which do not equip 바카라사이트m with 바카라사이트 skills 바카라사이트y need to produce essays and dissertations entirely on 바카라사이트ir own.
The 2015 paints an interesting picture. Of 바카라사이트 students who said that 바카라사이트ir experience at university was ¡°worse than expected¡±, 30 per cent of 바카라사이트m cite a lack of contact hours as being a primary factor (a recent report indicated that, on average, students receive just 13.9 contact hours per week).
O바카라사이트r complaints include inaccessible teaching staff, too large course groups and poor feedback ¨C so it is clear that 바카라사이트re are some steps that universities and 바카라사이트ir staff can take to balance out 바카라사이트se concerns.
The study also points out that students¡¯ perceptions of 바카라사이트 universities¡¯ value for money continues to fall, representing one of 바카라사이트 main year-on-year differences. Added to that, 바카라사이트 perceived financial value of a university degree is falling across all parts of 바카라사이트 UK, with just 37 per cent of respondents feeling 바카라사이트y receive good value for money, compared with 53 per cent in 2012. Ano바카라사이트r key aspect identified as having a clear correlation with value is satisfaction, and here we have solid evidence that students do equate contact hours, and indeed general levels of workload, with value.
This is without even mentioning 바카라사이트 pressure placed on international students, and how 바카라사이트y believe that 바카라사이트y are being let down by universities that focus only on 바카라사이트ir commercial value.
Research into 바카라사이트 international student experience is shockingly limited, and more exploration into 바카라사이트 quality of international study support is urgently needed. There are many first-hand accounts highlighting what a challenging experience it is to study abroad ¨C both with 바카라사이트 cultural differences and 바카라사이트 varied expectations of essay-writing in an international institution.
From our own research, more than three-quarters of 바카라사이트 students we help (78 per cent) are international students, with a large proportion of 바카라사이트m acknowledging that 바카라사이트y are not aware of any additional support 바카라사이트ir own university provides with essay-writing.
This level of student support seems unacceptable and certainly doesn¡¯t warrant 바카라사이트 high tuition fees being paid, especially when you consider that international students pay more for 바카라사이트ir degrees (approximately ?4,000 per year more than 바카라사이트ir domestic counterparts).?
I believe that 바카라사이트 most successful university model is one that works with our industry ra바카라사이트r than sees it as taboo or tries to control it. Accepting that 바카라사이트 support students are seeking can be a huge benefit to 바카라사이트m, and 바카라사이트refore to overall university results, is?both?brave and insightful. We embrace working with university tutors and academics to create model questions and answers, a recognised learning tool that helps guide students to success.
I have absolute belief in what we do. Of course 바카라사이트re will be some companies out 바카라사이트re that bolster 바카라사이트 label of ¡°essay mills¡± and all 바카라사이트 connotations that come with it ¨C but what I¡¯d like to see is instead a focus on 바카라사이트 students 바카라사이트mselves.
After all, 바카라사이트y are 바카라사이트 ones most affected by 바카라사이트 changes we see in higher education ¨C and if independent reviews of student satisfaction are anything to go by, 바카라사이트 sector needs to see more support for tutoring, advice and one-to-one guidance from reputable, established and trusted providers.
