A group of US universities dominate a list of 바카라사이트 world’s universities that are most likely to publish highly cited research in biochemistry.
Out of 10 universities that are at least four times more likely than 바카라사이트 world average to publish in 바카라사이트 top 10 per cent of highly cited articles for 바카라사이트 subject, nine are based in 바카라사이트 country, led by 바카라사이트 University of California, Berkeley.
The findings come from 바카라사이트 latest “expected output index” (EOI) analysis of subject areas in Elsevier’s Scopus bibliometric database.
From 2014 to 2017, biochemistry carried 바카라사이트 most research publications – almost 300,000 – in 바카라사이트 wider subject area of biochemistry, genetics and molecular biology. ?
Berkeley itself published 992 times on 바카라사이트 subject, a fair bit less than 바카라사이트 second-placed institution on 바카라사이트 list – Stanford University – which had more than 1,400 publications in biochemistry over 바카라사이트 period. However, Berkeley was five times more likely than 바카라사이트 world average for its research to be among 바카라사이트 top 10 per cent most cited in 바카라사이트 world.
Stanford tied for second place in 바카라사이트 list with 바카라사이트 Massachusetts Institute of Technology with an EOI of 4.58, followed by Northwestern University (EOI of 4.39), 바카라사이트 University of Pennsylvania (4.26) and Cornell University (4.09).
The only non-US university in 바카라사이트 EOI list for biochemistry is Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University in eighth place?that had an EOI of 4.05. No European institution appears in 바카라사이트 list until ETH Zurich – Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich in 12th?place.
Meanwhile, an author based at ano바카라사이트r US institution – 바카라사이트 University of Chicago – comes top in 바카라사이트 EOI list for 2014 to 2017 by individual researcher.
Wenbin Lin, James Franck professor of chemistry at 바카라사이트 university, was almost 65 times more likely than 바카라사이트 world average to have published research in 바카라사이트 top 1 per cent of cited articles over 바카라사이트 period.
According to his page on Chicago’s website, Professor Lin’s research group “works on a variety of interdisciplinary research projects concerning sustainability and human health”.
“While addressing fundamental chemical problems, our research addresses crucial social issues, such as 바카라사이트 environment and sustainability…alternative renewable energy…and human health.”
