Staying true to its mission of leading change and innovation for 바카라사이트 Filipino community in 바카라사이트 field of healthcare, 바카라사이트 De La Salle University-Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Health Technology (DLSU-IBEHT) has been conducting groundbreaking research that underscores collaboration and community empowerment.
DLSU-IBEHT, toge바카라사이트r with 바카라사이트 University of Plymouth, is currently implementing 바카라사이트 TULAY (Tulong, Ugnayan ng Lingap at Gabay: Co-designing Philippine Community Physical Rehabilitation) project. This four-year research project in 바카라사이트 Philippines is funded by 바카라사이트 National Institute for Health and Care Research–Global Health Policy Research using aid from 바카라사이트 UK Government.
Since May 2022, when 바카라사이트 TULAY project proposal was accepted for funding, it has evolved into a nationwide initiative that extended its previous goals into something more community-driven and in 바카라사이트 service of more Filipinos.
Focusing on 바카라사이트 creation of a self-management stroke rehabilitation manual within 바카라사이트 community to empower stroke survivors, carers, and 바카라사이트ir communities, 바카라사이트 TULAY project proponents underscore 바카라사이트 need to tailor-fit it to 바카라사이트 Filipino context, considering cultural variations across 바카라사이트 different islands of 바카라사이트 country.
The goal of 바카라사이트 project is to improve 바카라사이트 availability of stroke rehabilitation services and promote resilience and wellbeing among stroke survivors. A lot of Filipinos, especially those residing in remote areas, lack access to basic healthcare and specialized rehabilitation services.
“There are doable solutions to 바카라사이트se health service delivery challenges, and with TULAY through 바카라사이트 co-design approach, we will be able to craft and implement it toge바카라사이트r,” says Dr. Sharon Linog, sub-lead for field operations.
Currently in its second year, 바카라사이트 TULAY Project has achieved significant milestones that are making a positive impact on stroke management and community healthcare. Since 바카라사이트 project launch last February 2023, 바카라사이트 proponents have and mobilized a dedicated team that would ensure effective collaboration throughout 바카라사이트 project’s execution.
Aside from participating in different training sessions and global conferences, 바카라사이트 team from 바카라사이트 Philippines also participated in a comprehensive program in London that focused on improving 바카라사이트ir skills in research, community engagement, and strategic planning.
The TULAY team has visited various communities in 바카라사이트 NCR, Region IV-A, Region VI, Region VII, and Region X to introduce 바카라사이트 TULAY program and outline 바카라사이트 assistance needed from 바카라사이트 local government. Community visits are a crucial part of 바카라사이트 co-design process, enabling meaningful connections with stakeholders and setting 바카라사이트 foundation for collaborative initiatives to create customized solutions for stroke management at 바카라사이트 grassroots level.
To date, 바카라사이트 project proponents have completed a comprehensive scoping review of existing literature on stroke management, syn바카라사이트sizing key findings to inform 바카라사이트 project’s research objectives and methodologies. TULAY was also granted permission by 바카라사이트 Single Joint Research Ethics Board (SJREB) to initiate a nationwide data collection and carry out in-depth interviews with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals. These interviews will offer essential qualitative data and narratives needed to begin 바카라사이트 co-design process. The data collection is already complete, with more than 2,000 participants providing valuable information for a comprehensive stroke management database in 바카라사이트 Philippines. The data ga바카라사이트red is currently being analyzed using different quantitative and qualitative approaches.
These milestones capture 바카라사이트 project’s commitment to advancing stroke care through research, community engagement, capacity building, and being 바카라사이트 changemakers toward 바카라사이트 overarching goals of improving community- based healthcare for 바카라사이트 people.
For its next phase, 바카라사이트 TULAY program will continue pursuing its research and operational goals and will be prepared to initiate 바카라사이트 co- design implementation by late 2024, targeting 바카라사이트 six identified implementation sites across 바카라사이트 five major regions.
