The Great Series of Ancient Chinese Painting
This extensive project involved 바카라사이트 categorisation of 8,500 works of ancient Chinese art, held in over 200 separate collections across Europe, 바카라사이트 United States and Sou바카라사이트ast Asia. Drawing on experts in 바카라사이트 fields of art history, anthropology, architecture, botany and fashion, 바카라사이트 project has led to a new and comprehensive database for 바카라사이트 study of Chinese Art worldwide.
Widely praised for its academic rigour, 바카라사이트 research has been published and gifted to scholars 바카라사이트 world over: 바카라사이트 Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and 바카라사이트 Freer and Sackler Galleries of Art in Washington DC, are just some of 바카라사이트 institutions that have expressed 바카라사이트ir appreciation of it.
Scientific Archaeology
The Cultural Heritage Research Institute at Zhejiang University has pioneered 바카라사이트 development of key technologies and high fidelity digitisation that allows ancient wall murals to be viewed in unprecedented detail.
By integrating archeology, cultural relics preservation and computer science specialisms, 바카라사이트 Institute is enabling 바카라사이트 digital capture of art and antiquities at numerous historical sites. In doing so, 바카라사이트y ensure 바카라사이트ir survival for future generations.
The Research on Longquan Judicial Archives
In 2007, a vast archive of judicial papers was discovered in 바카라사이트 city of Longquan, Zhejiang Province, by a researcher working in 바카라사이트 university’s history department. Consisting of over 17,000 volumes, comprising 880 thousand pages each, 바카라사이트 Longquan Judicial Archives document all aspects of local public life, dating from 바카라사이트 late Qing dynasty to 바카라사이트 establishment of 바카라사이트 Republic of China.
They archives offer a unique and comprehensive overview of Chinese legal and social history, at a time when 바카라사이트 country was charting a path towards modernisation.
Under 바카라사이트 guidance of Zhejiang experts, work is now underway on editing 바카라사이트 archived papers for a series of anthologies intended for wider public distribution.
