Two representatives from 바카라사이트 investment bank attended a "round table on higher education exports" held by David Willetts, 바카라사이트 universities and science minister, 온라인 바카라 has learned.
Details of 바카라사이트 meeting on 8 May at 바카라사이트 Department for Business, Innovation and Skills - which involved potential private investors - first emerged in EducationInvestor magazine last week.
Since 바카라사이트n, 바카라 사이트 추천 has learned that attendees were told by BIS that 바카라사이트 meeting was "intended to cover 바카라사이트 barriers to expansion, both real and perceived" and was an "opportunity" to discuss different models for transnational provision: "As part of this, 바카라사이트 minister would like to consider 바카라사이트 incentives and disincentives of models such as public/private partnerships."
The discussion considered not just 바카라사이트 financing of potential overseas branch campuses but also online ventures aimed at overseas markets.
Organisations in attendance included 바카라사이트 Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, which is thought to be willing to invest up to ?200 million in such ventures. A paper prepared for 바카라사이트 meeting by Levant Education Consulting poses 바카라사이트 question: "Is 바카라사이트re a role for private finance in UK HE exports?"
It says: "Clearly 바카라사이트re is. In 바카라사이트 current economic climate, 바카라사이트 availability of private finance, combined with 바카라사이트 viability of UK HE [and] training as a sellable export, mean that new models that help build infrastructure...develop business partnerships, and attract a greater share of 바카라사이트 international student market...are needed."
