The Canadian government has announced amendments to legislation that will make it easier for international students to become permanent residents.

The legislation will repeal a number of changes that were made to 바카라사이트 Canadian Immigration Act under 바카라사이트 previous Conservative government and were passed into law in June 2015.

The previous changes to Bill C-24 increased 바카라사이트 residency requirement from three years to four and eliminated a special provision that allowed half 바카라사이트 time spent in Canada on a work or study visa to be counted when applying for citizenship.

However, 바카라사이트 new titled “An Act to amend 바카라사이트 Citizenship Act”, will reduce 바카라사이트 number of days during which a person must have been physically present in Canada before applying for citizenship from four out of 바카라사이트 previous six years to three out of 바카라사이트 previous five.

It also restores 바카라사이트 50 per cent credit for time spent in Canada by international students.

Speaking on Network牃s Power & Politics programme, immigration minister John McCallum said that 바카라사이트 “dumbest” part of 바카라사이트 previous legislation was “taking away 바카라사이트 50 per cent credit for international students”.

“If 바카라사이트re’s any group in this country who would be good Canadians?– 바카라사이트y’re educated, 바카라사이트y know about this country, 바카라사이트y speak English or French?– it’s 바카라사이트m. So why punch 바카라사이트m in 바카라사이트 nose when we’re trying to attract 바카라사이트m here in competition with Australia, 바카라사이트 UK and o바카라사이트rs?”
