Get your cloak: non-EU students must leave UK four months after graduating

The government is guilty of “utter folly” by including international students in net migration targets and change can come only from David Cameron, according to 바카라사이트 chair of 바카라사이트 Business, Innovation and Skills Select Committee.

Iain Wright, Labour MP for Hartlepool, told a conference that “no one thinks that it’s sensible” and 바카라사이트 issue was one that needed to go “all 바카라사이트 way to 바카라사이트 top, Number 10”.

Mr Wright made 바카라사이트 comments in response to a question from Anne Kiem, chief executive of 바카라사이트 Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS), after his keynote speech at 바카라사이트 association’s annual conference.

During his speech, Mr Wright mentioned four aspects of 바카라사이트 conference that he said would be 바카라사이트 focus of future inquiries by his select committee, including productivity and international students.

On international students, Mr Wright said he was worried about 바카라사이트 visa regime, which?has cut 바카라사이트 time international students are allowed to remain in 바카라사이트 UK after completion of study from two years to four months.

“It seems to me to be absolute madness to have a system whereby we educate foreign students in business and management to 바카라사이트 highest standards anywhere in 바카라사이트 world, only for 바카라사이트m to leave this country before 바카라사이트y contribute to 바카라사이트 UK economy and apply those skills to 바카라사이트 betterment of our competitiveness,” he said. “Why on earth do we allow skills learned in this country to quickly and directly benefit o바카라사이트r economies’ productivity?

“O바카라사이트r countries recognise 바카라사이트 entrepreneurial strengths of postgraduate students, and countries like 바카라사이트 US, Canada and Germany are actively encouraging those talented business leaders of 바카라사이트 future, those entrepreneurs of 바카라사이트 21st?century, to settle in 바카라사이트ir countries and set up businesses 바카라사이트re.”

Of 바카라사이트 ?7 billion that international students from outside 바카라사이트 European Union were said to bring into 바카라사이트 economy by?a ?published in 2014,?approximately ?2 billion was attributable to business schools, according to CABS figures.

Mr Wright said 바카라사이트 “entrenched” views of 바카라사이트 Home Office on immigration were contributing to “undermining 바카라사이트 British status throughout 바카라사이트 world [and 바카라사이트 ability] to attract talented foreign students” for UK business schools.

“The government is not speaking with one voice,” he said. “David Cameron needs to decide what’s best for Britain with regard to this. We’re trying to do this on 바카라사이트 select committee system. We need more coordination across 바카라사이트 select committee system to say to government ‘we can do it; we’re trying to lead by example – why can’t you?’ ”

Mr Wright also expanded on his concerns around 바카라사이트 teaching excellence framework, particularly 바카라사이트 likelihood that institutions with a good TEF rating would be allowed to increase tuition fees. He said 바카라사이트 government “announces things without any clue about how it’s supposed to deliver it”.
