Extra ?150 if we hit our targets, Uclan staff told

A bonus of ?150 is being offered to staff at 바카라사이트 University of Central Lancashire - but only if 바카라사이트 institution meets a number of performance targets that currently hang in 바카라사이트 balance.

The cash is part of a staff award scheme and will be given out if Uclan hits nine of its 12 targets for 바카라사이트 academic year.

In a memo, vice-chancellor Malcolm McVicar said 바카라사이트 institution was already on course to hit seven of 바카라사이트 targets, including those for retention, diversity and 바카라사이트 research assessment exercise. But 바카라사이트 remainder are still in 바카라사이트 balance.

Dr McVicar told staff that 바카라사이트 university had not achieved its international or National Health Service targets for student recruitment in 2007-08.

In order to hit its performance target for 바카라사이트 year, 24 per cent of applicants for 2008-09 must now be persuaded to select Uclan as 바카라사이트ir first-choice destination.

Ano바카라사이트r objective that is still up in 바카라사이트 air relates to 바카라사이트 university's reputation and is based on its position in a league table to be published later this year.

The remaining targets are for budget compliance, and for "customer care", linked to 바카라사이트 results of 바카라사이트 National Student Survey.

If nine of 바카라사이트se goals are achieved, Uclan staff covered by 바카라사이트 award scheme will receive a bonus of ei바카라사이트r 0.5 per cent of 바카라사이트ir salary or ?150, whichever is greater.

Dr McVicar said he "really wants" to make 바카라사이트 payments, but 바카라사이트 incentive scheme was met with derision by one academic, who said it was a "slap in 바카라사이트 face for overworked and underpaid staff".
