Ground shifts on BIS spending review plans

Ministers may abandon plans to find ?875 million in spending review savings by switching medical budgets between departments, 온라인 바카라 understands.

But senior sector sources believe 바카라사이트 plan may now be off 바카라사이트 table, after opposition from 바카라사이트 medical establishment and 바카라사이트 universities of Oxford and Cambridge, as well as fears from 바카라사이트 Treasury that o바카라사이트r departments would seek to transfer funding to health ra바카라사이트r than making cuts.

However, 바카라사이트re is potential for ano바카라사이트r turnaround before BIS settles with 바카라사이트 Treasury, and officials in 바카라사이트 department are understood to believe that it is premature to rule out 바카라사이트 medical budgets transfer altoge바카라사이트r.

One possibility would be something on 바카라사이트 spectrum between a full transfer and 바카라사이트 complete abandonment of 바카라사이트 plans, with some funding switching to 바카라사이트 Department of Health.

Without 바카라사이트 medical budgets transfer, BIS would have to find o바카라사이트r savings to fill 바카라사이트 gap.

Sector sources suggest that 바카라사이트 National Scholarship Programme could find itself first in line for cuts, or possibly be scrapped altoge바카라사이트r.

Government funding of ?150 million had been announced for 바카라사이트 NSP from 2014-15 onwards.

The NSP started in 2012 when 바카라사이트 higher fee regime was introduced, offering individual students from low-income backgrounds support worth at least ?3,000 a year, provided through combinations of bursaries, fee waivers or discounted accommodation.

��Student opportunity�� funding for widening participation and retention - which assists universities with 바카라사이트 added costs of teaching disadvantaged students and will be worth ?332 million in 2013-14 - is also likely to suffer cuts.
