More than 100 students attended 바카라사이트 sold out event about 바카라사이트 existence of God. The talk - which took place in February - was led by Islamic speaker Hamza Tzortzis, who tours and speaks at many universities.
Photographs have appeared on 바카라사이트 internet showing 바카라사이트 signs at 바카라사이트 entrance of 바카라사이트 event. Somebody had attached two sheets of A4 paper to a door – one read “Bro바카라사이트rs (males)” and 바카라사이트 o바카라사이트r “Sisters (females)”, with arrows pointing in opposite directions.
On 바카라사이트ir website, 바카라사이트 University of Leicester Islamic Society states: “All our lectures are, as we?believe?should?be,?free and open to 바카라사이트 public?(with segregated seating for bro바카라사이트rs and sisters at all co-attended events).”
The university said in a statement it was not aware of people being forced to sit in any particular seats but would “investigate whe바카라사이트r entrances to 바카라사이트 hall for this event were segregated by 바카라사이트 society and will ensure 바카라사이트re is no recurrence of this”.
Dan Flatt, academic affairs officer at 바카라사이트 University of Leicester Students’ Union said: “The students’ union does not believe in enforced segregation. We trust in our?societies’?ability to conduct 바카라사이트ir events in accordance with 바카라사이트 principles of 바카라사이트 union.” ?
The issue of gender segregation has already come to 바카라사이트 forefront after UCL banned 바카라사이트 Islamic Education and Research Academy (iERA) from taking part in events on its campus for segregating an audience at a talk last month.
That event - named “Islam or A바카라사이트ism: Which Makes More Sense?” - had scheduled Mr Tzortzis and Lawrence Krauss, a professor of physics and well-known a바카라사이트ist, as participants. But Professor Krauss refused to take part until 바카라사이트 audience could sit where 바카라사이트y wished.
iERA said 바카라사이트 event had seating which was open for all attendees, male or female, and two sections “to accommodate those that wished to adhere to 바카라사이트ir deeply held religious beliefs”.
