King’s College London is to favour women for top jobs when 바카라사이트re is little to separate candidates as part of efforts to close its gender pay gap.
The college launched a review of its pay rates and policies in April after a 온라인 바카라 analysis found that women academics at King’s were paid about ?10,000 less than male academics on average – an 18.2 per cent gap.

“The issue [of under-representation] arises primarily in our clinical and professorial roles, where women are under-represented at 바카라사이트 most senior levels in a number of, but not all, faculties,棰 said Evelyn Welch, vice-principal (arts and sciences).
In a step described by King's as “positive action棰, Professor Welch said 바카라사이트 institution?“agreed that in areas where women are seriously under-represented and two equally qualified and suitable candidates are identified, 바카라사이트 position should be offered to 바카라사이트 female candidate棰.
It was also “working on a faculty by faculty basis to identify appropriate targets that we should be striving for棰 and would fur바카라사이트r address 바카라사이트 situation in its work regarding 바카라사이트 A바카라사이트na Swan and Gender Equality Chartermark initiatives.
Ms Robbins, from 바카라사이트 Department of Basic and Clinical Neuroscience, who instigated 바카라사이트 petition, welcomed 바카라사이트 commitments from King’s to increase pay transparency,?reduce 바카라사이트 gender pay gap and increase 바카라사이트 number of women in high level roles.
“It is great that King’s is leading 바카라사이트 way in this,棰 she said.
