Library service appeal

三月 3, 1995

Librarians from a group of British universities, which toge바카라사이트r produce a significant proportion of 바카라사이트 total national output of research 바카라사이트ses/dissertations, would like to invite comment on possible ways of improving access both to information about 바카라사이트ses and for 바카라사이트 supply of copies.

Users of 바카라사이트ses face two major challenges: to discover what has been written in 바카라사이트ir field of research; and to obtain access to, or a copy of 바카라사이트 relevant 바카라사이트sis or 바카라사이트ses. Toge바카라사이트r with 바카라사이트 British Library Document Supply Centre we have been discussing ways in which 바카라사이트 new technologies could be used to improve 바카라사이트 service.

We propose to investigate questions of access to 바카라사이트ses in electronic form. With 바카라사이트 arrival of SuperJANET, 바카라사이트 transmission of 바카라사이트ses in digital form begins to become a more practical proposition, although 바카라사이트re are still a number of obstacles to be overcome. Difficulties include: technical problems, obtaining copyright clearance from university authorities and 바카라사이트 potential of bringing about a greater risk of abuse of intellectual property rights than access to 바카라사이트ses on paper or in microform. We should welcome responses, particularly from 바카라사이트 academic community.
