New Zealand university launches online Maori language course

Massey hopes to allow diaspora to share in resurgence of interest in indigenous culture

A New Zealand university is encouraging Kiwis around 바카라사이트 world to learn 바카라사이트 Maori language via a new online course.

Palmerston North-based Massey University said that 바카라사이트 Toro Mai course, which launches in September, would allow members of 바카라사이트 New Zealand diaspora to share in 바카라사이트 resurgence of interest in indigenous culture and language that is taking place in 바카라사이트ir home nation.

The programme consists of two introductory-level courses in Maori culture and language, each taking between 16 to 20 hours complete.

Rob Stevens, general manager of Massey Worldwide, said: “Around 바카라사이트 world, we’re seeing a?renaissance of indigenous languages, including te reo Maori. Toro Mai gives New Zealanders all over 바카라사이트 globe 바카라사이트 opportunity to reconnect with 바카라사이트 language, culture and values of Aotearoa.”
