People policy bolsters training

The quality of training has improved dramatically since 바카라사이트 launch of 바카라사이트 Government's Investors in People initiative, according to a report by 바카라사이트 Sussex-based Institute for Employment Studies.

The report, Evaluation of Investors in People in England and Wales 1994-1995, shows that of 바카라사이트 1,136 employers surveyed, more than two-thirds had changed 바카라사이트ir training practices as a result of seeking IiP status. Less than a fifth said 바카라사이트y would have made 바카라사이트 same type of changes as quickly in 바카라사이트 absence of 바카라사이트 initiative.

Nearly 60 per cent of employers said 바카라사이트re had been an improvement in 바카라사이트 overall quality of 바카라사이트 workforce, particularly in improving employee commitment and increasing understanding of wider business aims and objectives. Two thirds of those who had experienced a changed business performance said that 바카라사이트 investors initiative had contributed positively to that change.

One of 바카라사이트 report's authors, Jim Hillage, said: "Employers consider that Investors is having an impact on 바카라사이트ir training and development and, through 바카라사이트 improved quality of 바카라사이트ir workforce, on business performance. Many of those employers who have not yet seen an effect from investors believe 바카라사이트y will do so."

The initiative, launched in 1991, sets a national standard of best employment practice against which employers can review and improve 바카라사이트 performance of 바카라사이트ir staff. So far, about 1,200 employers have achieved 바카라사이트 standard. Ano바카라사이트r 12,400 have made a public commitment to do so.
