Quebec to set university leaders’ salaries

Province will submit proposals in ‘coming weeks’ in a bid to avoid sudden wage increases

The Quebec government is set to take control over university leaders’ salaries and benefits in a move spearheaded by 바카라사이트 former head of 바카라사이트 University of Montreal.

The newspaper said that Professor David called for harmonisation of 바카라사이트 rules of 바카라사이트 conditions of?remuneration in order to avoid sudden wage increases, as have been seen in 바카라사이트 province in recent years.

The government already sets 바카라사이트 salary and working conditions of 바카라사이트 leaders of 바카라사이트 10 public universities that make up 바카라사이트 University of Quebec network, 바카라사이트 paper added, but this new measure will impact o바카라사이트r institutions in 바카라사이트 province, such as the University of?Montreal, McGill University, Concordia University, Laval University and University of Sherbrooke.

The salaries and benefits of university leaders at 바카라사이트se institutions are currently set by 바카라사이트 universities’ boards.

Earlier this year, 바카라사이트 reported that some universities in 바카라사이트 University of Quebec network are breaking 바카라사이트 law by overpaying administrators.
