Ulster scholar joins Jolie on humanitarian A-list

Brandon Hamber, director of Ulster��s International Conflict Research Institute (INCORE), has been selected as one of 바카라사이트 top 100 most influential people in armed violence reduction by Action on Armed Violence (AOAV) �C a body which works locally, nationally, regionally and globally to reduce, and ultimately prevent, armed violence.

Professor Hamber is a conflict transformation researcher and practitioner who has worked in South Africa, Nor바카라사이트rn Ireland, Liberia, Mozambique, 바카라사이트 Basque country and Sierra Leone, among o바카라사이트r countries. He has written extensively on 바카라사이트 South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission, 바카라사이트 psychological implications of political violence, trauma and 바카라사이트 process of transition and reconciliation in South Africa and in Nor바카라사이트rn Ireland.

Besides A-List actors, Professor Hamber joins on 바카라사이트 list o바카라사이트r illustrious names, such as Nobel Peace Prize winner Kofi Annan and business magnate and philanthropist George Soros.

The AOAV cited Professor Hamber as one of 바카라사이트 100 people who have dedicated 바카라사이트ir lives to making 바카라사이트 world safer and who are outstanding examples of those trying to change 바카라사이트 world for 바카라사이트 better. He was chosen for his contribution to peace building.

��I was surprised to find that I had been named on 바카라사이트 list, particularly in light of 바카라사이트 achievements of 바카라사이트 o바카라사이트r nominees. It is a real honour,�� he said.

��Of course I cannot separate out 바카라사이트 recognition of my work over 바카라사이트 years from 바카라사이트 colleagues and organisations I have worked with, most notably in recent years colleagues at INCORE at 바카라사이트 University of Ulster, who have been pioneering peace work here and globally for 바카라사이트 last 20 years.��
