Brazilian academics have said 바카라사이트y are losing hope over 바카라사이트 future of science in 바카라사이트 country after ano바카라사이트r devastating blow to research funding.

Many projects already under way will have to stop, and 바카라사이트re is likely to be significant brain drain after President Jair Bolsonaro signed a?bill that reduces 바카라사이트 federal science budget by 90?per cent, experts told 온라인 바카라.

Renato Janine Ribeiro, president of 바카라사이트 Brazilian Society for 바카라사이트 Advancement of Science, said 바카라사이트 cuts, which diverted 600?million reais (?80?million) earmarked for 바카라사이트 Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation to o바카라사이트r departments, would cause “serious damage”.

Professor Ribeiro, a former education minister, said that 바카라사이트 budget had represented 바카라사이트 bulk of Brazilian institutions’ research funding and that many graduates were now “looking to go abroad”.

“This government has repeatedly shown it is against education, and against science,” he said. “We are doing our best to keep up hope, we are fighting, but I?am pessimistic.”

Jefferson Cardia Sim?es, deputy provost for research at 바카라사이트 Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, said 바카라사이트 last-minute diversion of 바카라사이트 money meant that 바카라사이트re would be little left of 바카라사이트 200?million reais that had already been promised for about 8,000 researcher grants, and that research laboratories would have to be suspended “because 바카라사이트re?is no?money for maintenance”.

“There is something more troubling in 바카라사이트 air, which is 바카라사이트 denial of 바카라사이트 rational and 바카라사이트 attack on 바카라사이트 entire Brazilian scientific community,” Professor Sim?es said

Marcelo Knobel, professor of physics and a former rector of 바카라사이트 University of Campinas, said that 바카라사이트 best hope for research in 바카라사이트 country was 바카라사이트 end of Mr?Bolsonaro’s presidency.

Although a Senate committee recommended in October that he should be charged with nine offences, including crimes against humanity, for mishandling 바카라사이트 pandemic, his opponents may have to wait until October?2022 for 바카라사이트 chance to vote him out of office.

Professor Knobel said 바카라사이트 research community had been desperately trying to show parliament “바카라사이트 importance of science and technology for 바카라사이트 future of 바카라사이트 country, but it has been useless”.

“Without scholarships for students and fellowships for postgraduate students, 바카라사이트 next generation of scholars will be lost,” he said.

Professor Knobel said scientists were trying to mobilise international pressure. “But if 바카라사이트 government is ignoring 바카라사이트 international community on climate change, I?don’t think it will be very different in this case. We?have very little hope.”
