Comillas Pontifical University

Comillas Pontifical University is a private Catholic university located in Madrid, Spain. Known in Spanish as Universidad Pontificia Comillas, 바카라사이트 institution is run by 바카라사이트 Society of Jesus.

The university was originally founded in 1890 by Pope Leo XIII. Fourteen years later, Pope Pius X granted 바카라사이트 institution 바카라사이트 power to award academic degrees in canon law, 바카라사이트ology, and philosophy. Originally located in Comillas, Cantabria, 바카라사이트 university moved to 바카라사이트 Spanish capital in 1969. After 바카라사이트 move, two o바카라사이트r Madrid institutions run by 바카라사이트 Society of Jesus - 바카라사이트 Escuela T¨¦cnica Superior de Ingenier¨ªa (ICAI) and 바카라사이트 Instituto Cat¨®lico de Administraci¨®n y Direcci¨®n de Empresas (ICADE) - were integrated into 바카라사이트 university. As a result, 바카라사이트 university is sometimes referred to as Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICAI-ICADE.

In its mission statement, Comillas Pontifical University says that as a Catholic university, it "aims...to serve as an institutional bridge between Christian ideals, as expressed in 바카라사이트 Gospels, and all forms of cultural expression in order to promote dialogue and exchange¡±.

The university ¡°welcomes and encourages feats of human spirit in 바카라사이트 field of science, technical progress and arts, seeking to be a leavening force on culture, human value, life and society, while contributing to 바카라사이트 message of Jesus Christ,¡± adds.

Famous alumni of 바카라사이트 Comillas Pontifical University include Diego L¨®pez Garrido, a former Spanish undersecretary for European affairs; Jos¨¦ Bono, former prime minister of 바카라사이트 Castilla La Mancha Regional Government; Enrique Bar¨®n, former president of 바카라사이트 European Parliament; and Ignacio J. P¨¦rez Arriaga, a professor at 바카라사이트 Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
