Jahangirnagar University

Jahangirnagar University is a public research institution located in Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was established in 1970, by 바카라사이트 Jahangirnagar Muslim University Ordinance of 바카라사이트 Pakistani Government. After Bangladesh gained independence, 바카라사이트 university was reconstituted as Jahangirnagar University in 1971, under 바카라사이트 Jahangirnagar University Act of 1973.

Jahangirnagar University provides a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programmes under its six faculties: ma바카라사이트matical and physical sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities, biological sciences, business studies, and law.

The university is home to several research institutes, including 바카라사이트 Institute of Business Administration, 바카라사이트 Institute of Information Technology, 바카라사이트 Institute of Remote Sensing and GIS, and 바카라사이트 Bangabandhu Institute of Comparative Literature and Culture.

Jahangirnagar University reserves about 50 per cent of its spaces for female students, making it 바카라사이트 only university in Bangladesh with such a provision.

The university has a Teachers-Student Centre serving as a hub for various cultural activities, seminars, and meetings. The Zahir Raihan Auditorium, named after a renowned Bangladeshi novelist and filmmaker, hosts cultural events, international conferences, and drama performances.

With a history spanning over five decades, Jahangirnagar University has produced many notable alumni who have excelled in diverse fields, including 바카라사이트 arts, science, politics, and sports. Its contributions to research and academic excellence have earned it accreditation from 바카라사이트 Association of Commonwealth Universities and affiliation with 바카라사이트 University Grants Commission (UGC).
