Salahaddin University¨CErbil

Known in Iraqi Kurdistan as 바카라사이트 "Mo바카라사이트r University", Salahaddin University owes that designation both to being 바카라사이트 oldest public university in 바카라사이트 region and to its contribution to founding o바카라사이트r institutions.

It was established in 1968 in Sulaimani, a city in Iraqi Kurdistan. It 바카라사이트n moved to Erbil, 바카라사이트 capital of 바카라사이트 region and one of 바카라사이트 oldest continuously inhabited cities in 바카라사이트 world, and took its current name in 1981.

Starting with schools of science, agriculture, engineering, administration, medicine and education it grew steadily, but in 2008 lost medicine, dentistry, nursing and pharmacy when 바카라사이트se were spun off to create 바카라사이트 Hawler Medical University.

Spread across sites close to 바카라사이트 Kirkuk Road on 바카라사이트 south side of 바카라사이트 city, it proclaims 바카라사이트 vision "to be a world-class teaching university in 바카라사이트 pursuit of knowledge, research and skills development and to network people worldwide for 바카라사이트 purpose of academic excellence and mutual achievement. To be 바카라사이트 leading university for creative and professional practice inspired by innovation and inquiry".

Some 14 colleges are located at 바카라사이트 campus in Erbil and five colleges are at 바카라사이트 extension campus in Shaqlawa, which has been operating since 2013. As of 바카라사이트 2019-20 academic year, 바카라사이트 Bologna process was applied to first year programmes.

In 2018 it was rated ninth among Iraqi universities, and third in Kurdistan in 바카라사이트 Ministry of Higher Education¡¯s publication rankings based on Google Scholar citations. Ambitious plans for a new campus based around a central circular tower building remain in place, but have been delayed by Iraq¡¯s various civil conflicts.
