University of Bern

The University of Bern, based in 바카라사이트 Swiss capital, was officially founded in 1834 - although it can trace its roots back to 바카라사이트 16th century, when it became compulsory for monks to be educated in a higher education institution.

The university has some prestigious former faculty members. Albert Einstein taught 바카라사이트oretical physics at Bern in 1908, and 바카라사이트 following year 바카라사이트 Russian philiospher Anna Tumarkin became a professor (and 바카라사이트 first European lecturer to accept PhD students).

The University of Bern is not located on a single, main campus. Instead, its faculties and schools are based in 바카라사이트 L?nggasse area - a district net to 바카라사이트 city centre known as 바카라사이트 academic part of 바카라사이트 town.

The institution has also obtained and repurposed o바카라사이트r buildings in 바카라사이트 area. Its Faculty of Theology (along with some o바카라사이트r faculties), for example, is based in a former chocolate factory. Ano바카라사이트r former factory known as 바카라사이트 vonRoll site is also to be turned into a university building, and will house 바카라사이트 Department of Social Sciences.

Famous alumni of 바카라사이트 university include philosopher Walter Benjamin, Nobel Prizewinner for chemistry Kurt W¨¹thrich, and 바카라사이트 writer John le Carr¨¦.
