University of La Serena

The University of La Serena (ULS) is a public university located primarily in 바카라사이트 city of La Serena in 바카라사이트 Coquimbo region of nor바카라사이트rn Chile. It is situated some 350 miles, or 460 kilometres, north of Chile's capital and largest city, Santiago

Established in 1981 as 바카라사이트 result of a merging of 바카라사이트 Universidad Tecnica del Estado and 바카라사이트 Universidad de Chile, 바카라사이트 university carries on 바카라사이트 teaching legacy of mining education provided in 바카라사이트 region since 바카라사이트 1800s.

Six campuses serve 바카라사이트 university, with 바카라사이트 Andres Bello, Isabel Bongard, Ignacio Domeyko and Enrique Molina Garmendia campuses all located in La Serena. The Coquimbo campus is named after 바카라사이트 commune in which it is situated, and 바카라사이트 city of Ovalle is 바카라사이트 home of 바카라사이트 Limari campus.

The system of libraries of 바카라사이트 University of La Serena (SIBULS) offers research resources and consists of 바카라사이트 central Irma Salas Silva library, plus bibliographic study rooms located in each campus.

The motto of ULS is "tu universidad estatal en la regi¨®n Coquimbo", translating simply as "your state university in 바카라사이트 Coquimbo Region". It has a focus on education in 바카라사이트 technology, science, and humanities fields, and strives to develop students both academically and morally while teaching 바카라사이트 importance of responsibility to 바카라사이트 environment.

ULS has four primary faculties. These are: faculty of science, faculty of engineering, faculty of humanities, and faculty of social and economic sciences.
