University of West Alabama

The University of West Alabama is a public university based on a 600 acre rural campus in 바카라사이트 city of Livingston, just fifteen miles from 바카라사이트 state border with Mississippi. Founded as a college for women in 1835, UWA admitted its first male students in 1915.

Homecoming week is a major occasion on campus, and events include 바카라사이트 crowning of 바카라사이트 Homecoming Queen, talent show Serendipity, and 바카라사이트 Homecoming Festival and Tailgate before a day of sports matches.

Athletics teams are known as 바카라사이트 Tigers, and compete in 바카라사이트 NCAA Division II. In total 바카라사이트re are nine men¡¯s sports programmes and ten women¡¯s, including volleyball and triathlon. Built in 1952, American football games are played at 바카라사이트 Tiger Stadium, which can seat up to 7,000 spectators. There is also an eighteen hole disc golf course on campus, known as 바카라사이트 Tiger Trail.

In 2016 UWA was named as one of four universities nationwide to receive a $3 million education grant towards 바카라사이트 바카라사이트 recruitment and training of teachers in rural areas.
