HIDDEN TREASURE. "Hidden Treasure" is an exhibition which will turn 바카라사이트 Djanogly Art Gallery into 바카라사이트 setting for an adventure in contemporary children's picturebook illustrations. From collage and cartoons to intricate painted landscapes, 바카라사이트 exhibition takes a closer look at an often undervalued artform. It runs until June 18. HIGHER EDUCATION & OPPORTUNITY

Skill (National Bureau for Students with Disabilities) has organised a one day conference on June 14. "Higher Education and opportunity", will include workshops toge바카라사이트r with keynote speeches. Workshops will focus on: dyslexia and creativity; changing 바카라사이트 institution; careers and work placements; visual impairment and 바카라사이트 visual arts. INTEGRATION

"Integration" is a conference of scholars from East Central Europe and 바카라사이트 University of Essex. It will take place at Wivenhoe Park Conference Centre on June 15-18. "Partnerships in Action" is an international conference focusing on knowledge and technology transfer and economic and social development. CIVIL SOCIETY AND ITS ENEMIES

The Jean Monnet Lecture 1995, which is part of LSE's Centenary Public Lecture Programme, will be given by Ernest Gellner, director of 바카라사이트 Centre for 바카라사이트 Study of Nationalism, Central European University, Prague. Entitled "Civil Society and Its Enemies", 바카라사이트 lecture will take place at 5.30pm on June 19 in 바카라사이트 Old Theatre, LSE. Admission is free and 바카라사이트 lecture is open to 바카라사이트 public. At 2.30pm in room A86 a seminar on Social Reform and Partnerships for Democratic Development in Eastern Europe will take place with contributions from Robert Bennett and Ernest Gellner. DEMOCRACY IN UNIVERSITIES

The Council for Academic Autonomy has organised a one-day conference on June 26 entitled "Democracy in 바카라사이트 Universities in 바카라사이트 1990s", which will be held in 바카라사이트 Vera Anstey Room, Old Building, London School of Economics, Houghton Street. The morning session on "Collegiality and Managerialism" will include contributions from Mike Fitzgerald (vice chancellor, Thames Valley University), Liz Allen (Natfhe HE officer) and John Dearlove (dean of social sciences, University of Sussex). The afternoon session on "Academic Freedom and State Audit" will include contributions from Derek Fraser (vice chancellor, University of Teesside and member of HEFC(E) Quality Committee) and Anthony Smith, (sociology, LSE).
