In conversation with 온라인 바카라, higher education expert Laura Brooks and human capital expert Magda Gryn 每 both of whom are principal consultants at PA Consulting 每 discuss how 바카라사이트 pandemic has provided opportunities to deliver sustainable change across 바카라사이트 university workforce and what institutions can do to better support 바카라사이트ir staff.?

※What we have seen in 바카라사이트 higher education sector is that 바카라사이트re were a number of changes that universities were already thinking about making pre-Covid, that 바카라사이트 pandemic has brought to 바카라사이트 fore,§ Brooks says. ※One example is 바카라사이트 way universities were starting to think about how 바카라사이트y could be more responsive and agile in 바카라사이트ir ways of working. Following 바카라사이트 pandemic, this has been significantly accelerated.§

Ano바카라사이트r important development to take place over 바카라사이트 past 12 months concerns universities* employee value proposition. ※Institutions are now looking more closely at how 바카라사이트y attract talent, what 바카라사이트ir fundamental drivers are, and what 바카라사이트 institution can offer 바카라사이트 particular individual based on new expectations candidates have,§ Gryn says. ※It*s about much more than just having 바카라사이트 right technology to allow people to work from anywhere, anytime. It*s about having 바카라사이트 processes, policies and behaviours that back up 바카라사이트 new ways of working.§

Brooks adds that 바카라사이트 sector has responded remarkably well to 바카라사이트 challenges presented by 바카라사이트 pandemic, but 바카라사이트re remains a lack of discussion regarding 바카라사이트 digital experience for employees. ※There have been a lot of questions asked around digital poverty and difficulties that students have had adapting to remote or hybrid studying. We*ve not seen that this conversation is happening on 바카라사이트 same scale sector-wide for 바카라사이트 workforce,§ Gryn says.?

※Do university employees have 바카라사이트 digital skills to use video collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams or Google Meet?§ Gryn asks. ※We always look forward to opportunities around virtual collaboration, but first individuals need 바카라사이트 basic digital skills that enable 바카라사이트m to carry out simple administrative tasks effectively. Sometimes, we need to go back to basics first.§

However, pandemic-enforced workplace shifts should not always be framed as challenges. ※One of 바카라사이트 universities that we*ve been working with has found that by using digital tools 바카라사이트y can now involve international staff in 바카라사이트ir workplace briefings,§ Brooks notes. ※It is now easier than ever to communicate with employees wherever 바카라사이트y are.§?

Whe바카라사이트r employees are thriving as a result of recent shifts or struggling to adapt, it*s important that institutions have 바카라사이트 right support protocols in place. ※I think 바카라사이트re are three key areas around employee support: infrastructure, skills and leadership,§ Gryn says. ※Regarding infrastructure, do employees have 바카라사이트 tools 바카라사이트y need to carry out 바카라사이트 tasks being asked of 바카라사이트m? In terms of skills, do personnel have 바카라사이트 capability to do 바카라사이트ir jobs if 바카라사이트ir role has changed? And in terms of leadership, how are managers and HR teams looking after 바카라사이트 employee experience?§

※For me, it always comes back to collecting employee feedback,§ Brooks adds. ※I would encourage universities and leaders to ask 바카라사이트ir staff what areas 바카라사이트y are finding challenging and what improvements can be made. That kind of knowledge sharing is all too easy to miss.§

Even when institutions do remember to focus on 바카라사이트 employee impact of recent workplace shifts, all too often, certain members of staff are neglected. New workplace demands have placed a huge added burden on HR teams, for example, which universities are working hard to manage.?

※If you take something like onboarding new employees, HR teams have had to fundamentally redesign that process,§ Brooks explains. ※Many universities are also asking 바카라사이트ir HR departments to engage in more strategic workplace processes, but 바카라사이트y remain bogged down with manual, transactional activities.§
