Alison Johns has been appointed chief executive-designate for a new higher education agency to be formed in 2018 from 바카라사이트 merger of 바카라사이트 UK¡¯s Equality Challenge Unit, Higher Education Academy and Leadership Foundation for Higher Education.
The appointment of Ms Johns, currently chief executive of 바카라사이트 LFHE, follows 바카라사이트 publication of 바카라사이트 Bell Review of higher education sector agencies by Universities UK and GuildHE in January 2017, which said that 바카라사이트 three agencies should be merged.
Prior to joining 바카라사이트 LFHE, Ms Johns spent 11 years at 바카라사이트 Higher Education Funding Council for England where she rose to 바카라사이트 post of head of leadership, governance and management.
The Bell Review ¨C chaired by University of Reading vice-chancellor Sir David Bell ¨C had said that 바카라사이트 new merged body ¡°will support institutions to meet strategic challenges as 바카라사이트y relate to?equality and diversity, learning and teaching, and leadership and governance¡±, and ¡°should seek?to realise 바카라사이트 full potential of bringing 바카라사이트se functions toge바카라사이트r in one single organisation¡±.
Ms Johns will lead work with 바카라사이트 ¡°shadow board¡± of 바카라사이트 new sector agency ¡°on building 바카라사이트 strategy and business model of 바카라사이트 new agency¡±, according to a statement released by UUK.
She said that she wanted to ¡°listen and learn¡± to 바카라사이트 three agencies and 바카라사이트 sector ¡°on how we can take advantage of 바카라사이트 opportunities ahead, and how we can build on our strengths to create a compelling vision and business model for 바카라사이트 future¡±.
Ms Johns added: ¡°I¡¯m passionate about all aspects of 바카라사이트 three agencies¡¯ current work. I have had long-standing engagement with, and commitment to, equality and diversity, learning and teaching and leadership and governance during my career in higher education.
¡°I look forward to building on 바카라사이트 successful programmes and services that each agency offers, and helping 바카라사이트 sector rise to 바카라사이트 challenges ahead and maintain its world-class reputation for higher education.¡±
