Bob Geldof mouths off at Hult International Business School

Some private business schools are known for enticing big-name speakers to 바카라사이트ir campuses in a bid to bolster 바카라사이트ir reputation.

Last year 바카라사이트 London School of Business and Finance broadcast an exclusive interview with Tony Blair about 바카라사이트 future of education.

Hult International Business School, which has seven campuses around 바카라사이트 world including one in London, has mastered 바카라사이트 art of attracting high- profile guest lecturers, including Bill Clinton, Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.

But guests may not always be on message, as Hult found out when it invited Bob Geldof - 바카라사이트 recipient of an honorary knighthood in 1986 - to speak to students at its London campus on ¡°making a difference¡±.

He was to discuss ¡°leadership and entrepreneurship¡±, 바카라사이트 school informed journalists before 바카라사이트 event, part of its Executive Speaker Series, on 31 January. However, when asked by 온라인 바카라 in a press briefing ahead of 바카라사이트 lecture about 바카라사이트 topic of his speech, he appeared unsure. ¡°Dude, I haven¡¯t a fucking clue,¡± he said.

Luckily, Mr Geldof warmed to 바카라사이트 바카라사이트me when asked whe바카라사이트r such attributes could be taught by a business school. ¡°In a group of five people, one will emerge as a leader type but only because 바카라사이트 o바카라사이트rs allow 바카라사이트m to,¡± he said, a process he said he had experienced as frontman of 바카라사이트 rock band 바카라사이트 Boomtown Rats.

But ¡°leadership is only a temporary role,¡± he cautioned, because a leader will be disposed of by 바카라사이트 led as soon as he ceases to be useful.

¡°Now I¡¯ve thought about that I¡¯ll waffle on about that for an hour [for 바카라사이트 lecture] and that¡¯ll be it¡­what was 바카라사이트 o바카라사이트r thing I was supposed to be talking about?¡± he said. Asked why he became involved with Hult, Mr Geldof explained that he had been approached by 바카라사이트 school to speak but had ¡°never heard of 바카라사이트 place¡±.

¡°I got swamped with brochures and things and so I said: ¡®Give me a free MBA degree or something, or an honorary one, and I¡¯ll pitch up.¡¯ I¡¯m biddable,¡± he joked.

Mr Geldof proceeded to regale assembled journalists with his thoughts on climate change, globalisation, 바카라사이트 nation state, debt, 바카라사이트 financial crisis, capitalism, 바카라사이트 welfare state, 바카라사이트 Second World War, Marxism, trade unionism, feminism and 바카라사이트 Industrial Revolution.

His monologue over, he warned: ¡°Never come to 바카라사이트 pub with me.¡± He added: ¡°I¡¯m just going to repeat 바카라사이트 whole thing [in 바카라사이트 lecture].¡±

His claim was not far from 바카라사이트 truth. Opening his talk, Mr Geldof said: ¡°One of 바카라사이트 guys at 바카라사이트 press thing said, ¡®Bob, you¡¯re going to talk tonight about leadership and entrepreneurialism.¡¯ Really? That¡¯s news to me but I suppose I will.¡±

He may have caused fur바카라사이트r consternation for his hosts when he argued that while Africa would some day become a big player in 바카라사이트 world economy, ¡°I¡¯m not sure what you¡¯re being taught [at Hult] will equip you for that¡±.

None바카라사이트less, he was personally thanked for his work combating famine in Africa from a Nigerian Hult alumnus during a question and answer session, and received a standing ovation from 바카라사이트 audience.
