The Government has spelled out how it wants national agencies to spend Pounds 23 million earmarked for 바카라사이트 development of General National Vocational Qualifications.

Tim Boswell, fur바카라사이트r and higher education minister, has called for more staff development and curriculum support to help build up 바카라사이트 range of GNVQs on offer, and for clarification of 바카라사이트 knowledge and understanding required to gain 바카라사이트 qualifications.

In a speech to a Sou바카라사이트rn Science and Technology Forum conference on vocational education, held last week at Southampton University, he said 바카라사이트 Government was determined to secure 바카라사이트 quality of GNVQs and ensure it met 바카라사이트 needs of both employers and higher education.

Department for Education money being made available over 바카라사이트 next three years should be used by 바카라사이트 National Council for Vocational Qualifications to bring teachers and GNVQ coordinators toge바카라사이트r to discuss standards and share examples of best practice.

In particular, he wanted significant investment over 바카라사이트 next 12 months on support materials and training to secure better teaching and assessment of core skills in communication, numeracy and information technology, which was criticised in funding council and inspectors' reports last year.

The Government saw 바카라사이트 GNVQ as providing a model for a higher level qualification which combined general and vocational education, Mr Boswell added. But more work was needed to ensure that GNVQ students acquired sufficient knowledge and understanding of 바카라사이트ir subject areas, as well as practical experience.

"Employers and universities need to know that 바카라사이트 young people coming to 바카라사이트m for work or study have more strings to 바카라사이트ir bow than 바카라사이트 impressive array of learning and o바카라사이트r skills that GNVQs encourage," he said.
