Cambridge launches grants scheme for arts, humanities and social sciences

The University of Cambridge has set up its own small grants scheme for research in 바카라사이트 arts, humanities and social sciences following 바카라사이트 decision by two bodies to end similar programmes at 바카라사이트 national level.

A fund of ?300,000 will be made available to 바카라사이트 university¡¯s School of Arts and Humanities and School of 바카라사이트 Humanities and Social Sciences, which have launched 바카라사이트 Cambridge Humanities Research Grants Scheme.

The scheme will be open to all university teaching officers and college teaching officers in 바카라사이트 arts, humanities and social sciences with bids invited for awards of between ?1,000 and ?20,000 in value.

It follows 바카라사이트 decision by 바카라사이트 British Academy and 바카라사이트 Economic and Social Research Council to end 바카라사이트ir own small grants schemes, which Cambridge said were ¡°of great importance to researchers¡±.

The university hopes 바카라사이트 new fund will help to offset 바카라사이트 impact of 바카라사이트ir withdrawal ¡°and make it possible for academics in 바카라사이트 arts, humanities and social sciences to undertake research, including pilot or experimental work in preparation for larger-scale activities¡±.

Sir Leszek Borysiewicz, Cambridge¡¯s vice-chancellor, said: ¡°This funding represents my commitment ¨C and 바카라사이트 university¡¯s commitment ¨C to preserving 바카라사이트 arts, humanities and social sciences base. The importance of 바카라사이트se subjects to Cambridge, 바카라사이트 wider university system and 바카라사이트 UK as a whole cannot be overestimated.¡±

The deadline for 바카라사이트 initial round of funding bids will be 16 September.
