Candidates for next UUK president confirmed

Three candidates are in 바카라사이트 running to become 바카라사이트 next president of Universities UK, representing 바카라사이트 sector in talks with 바카라사이트 government.

The candidates are Simon Gaskell, principal of Queen Mary University of London; Dame Julia Goodfellow, vice-chancellor of 바카라사이트 University of Kent; and Colin Riordan, vice-chancellor of Cardiff University.

The winner will succeed Sir Christopher Snowden, 바카라사이트 vice-chancellor of 바카라사이트 University of Surrey, whose two-year term will finish at 바카라사이트 end of July 2015.

The election has already gone to ballot and 바카라사이트 results are scheduled to be announced on November. UUK confirmed 바카라사이트 list of candidates.

If Dame Julia were to be successful, she would be 바카라사이트 first woman to lead 바카라사이트 organisation in its near 100-year history. The organisation was founded as 바카라사이트 Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals of 바카라사이트 Universities of 바카라사이트 United Kingdom?in 1918.

Dame Julia is also 바카라사이트 only candidate from a university outside 바카라사이트 Russell Group.

UUK describes itself as ¡°바카라사이트 definitive voice for universities in 바카라사이트 UK¡± and as providing ¡°high quality leadership and support to our members, to promote a successful and diverse higher education sector¡±.

One of 바카라사이트 president¡¯s key roles is to represent 바카라사이트 sector in talks with 바카라사이트 government on policy and funding.
