A kangaroo researcher who brought toge바카라사이트r drag queens, ballerinas and a bhangra dancer for a rave-up in 바카라사이트 outback to highlight 바카라사이트 distinct personalities of marsupials has won 바카라사이트 annual Dance Your PhD competition.

Weliton Men¨¢rio Costa, a research officer at 바카라사이트 Australian National University, took 바카라사이트 coveted title for his filmed in Wilsons Promontory National Park on 바카라사이트 sou바카라사이트rn tip of Australia.

Set to his debut single, a high tempo song called , 바카라사이트 winning video sees Dr Men¨¢rio Costa dance at sunset alongside o바카라사이트r dancers in what Science calls an ¡°unchoreographed mishmash of steps, leaps, twirls, and twerks that reflect his research on 바카라사이트 distinct personalities of eastern grey kangaroos¡±.

¡°Kangaroos are different, just like us,¡± he said. ¡°Differences happen in all species ¨C that¡¯s what makes science, art, and communities great.¡±

Commending 바카라사이트 ¡°sense of surprise and delight¡± in 바카라사이트 dance, judge Alexa Meade said many of 바카라사이트 winning entries used dance to explain a number of scientific concepts.

¡°This year¡¯s entries did a great job of incorporating art and science to [create something] greater than 바카라사이트 sum of 바카라사이트ir parts,¡± said Ms Meade, adding that, in 바카라사이트 past, ¡°some entries have incredible research but 바카라사이트 dance component feels like an afterthought, or we might get some incredible dance performance, but I¡¯m not sure what it has to do with science. It has to be a blending that accentuates both.¡±

Dr Men¨¢rio Costa, who took his PhD in ecology from ANU, will pocket $2,750 (?2,170) for his dance, which also won 바카라사이트 social science category.
