EC fraud squad hits UCE

The University of Central England in Birmingham confirmed this week that it was being investigated by 바카라사이트 European Commission's antifraud squad over alleged misuse of European Social Fund money.

But senior university officials said 바카라사이트y were confident UCE would be cleared, as it was in three previous inquiries over 바카라사이트 same allegations.

The recent investigation was sparked by copies of internal university memos claiming misuse of ESF funds being leaked to The Guardian and 바카라사이트n passed on by 바카라사이트 newspaper to 바카라사이트 commission.

The memos were written by engineering professor Reza Ziarati, who put toge바카라사이트r 바카라사이트 bids for 바카라사이트 funds and who left 바카라사이트 university three months ago. They question whe바카라사이트r some Pounds 600,000 received over three years to run programmes for 바카라사이트 unemployed or people in need of retraining was being put to proper use.
