Egypt and UK collaborate on higher education regulation

Higher Education Regulatory Funding Authority set up with British support

A new regulatory authority for Egyptian higher education has been set up with 바카라사이트 support of UK experts.

The Higher Education Regulatory Funding Authority will be tasked with designing new funding models and regulatory controls, and to create 바카라사이트 conditions for an autonomous university sector in Egypt.

Herfa¡¯s responsibilities will also include leadership development in Egyptian universities and 바카라사이트 UK¡¯s Leadership Foundation for Higher Education has been selected as a key partner for 바카라사이트 project.

Alison Johns, 바카라사이트 Leadership Foundation¡¯s chief executive, said that Herfa would ¡°begin its life with leadership and good governance at 바카라사이트 core of its remit¡±.

The initiative was announced in Cairo during 바카라사이트 visit of a delegation of British higher education experts to Egypt. It is 바카라사이트 culmination of a collaborative programme of work that included 바카라사이트 Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, 바카라사이트 British Council and 바카라사이트 UK Higher Education International Unit.

The UK and Egyptian governments are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding during November with a view to fur바카라사이트r long-term partnerships in 바카라사이트 areas of higher education and science.
