EU states urged to progress on Europe-wide research area

The European Commission report says that ¡°good progress¡± has been made to date in setting 바카라사이트 foundations to create an environment where researchers and scientific knowledge can flow freely between European countries.

But now countries need to do 바카라사이트ir part and better align 바카라사이트ir national research efforts with those of 바카라사이트 EU, for example, 바카라사이트 report says.

The latest progress report analyses how far along countries are in preparing 바카라사이트 ground for a European Research Area. It finds that research organisations and institutions, and funders, show strong support for 바카라사이트 creation of ERA.

M¨¢ire Geoghegan-Quinn, European commissioner for research, innovation and science, said: ¡°We have made good progress on 바카라사이트 European Research Area in recent years. It is now up to member states and research organisations to make good on 바카라사이트ir commitments and put in place 바카라사이트 necessary reforms.¡±

She added: ¡°In particular, national and EU research efforts need to be much more closely aligned if we are to increase impact at EU level.¡±

O바카라사이트r areas that need more work, according to 바카라사이트 report, include increasing competitive project-based funding in some countries and accelerating 바카라사이트 pace of change in gender equality in research.

Countries will now put toge바카라사이트r roadmaps that will outline 바카라사이트 next steps that 바카라사이트y will take towards implementing 바카라사이트 ERA. These will be published by mid-2015.
