More than half of all research papers published by academics in France and 바카라사이트 UK now have at least one international co-author, latest figures reveal.
Analysis by publishing giant Elsevier showed that both countries pushed past 바카라사이트 50 per cent mark for 바카라사이트 first time in 2014, 바카라사이트 most recent year for which complete data are available. In France, 51.6 per cent of articles had at least one overseas collaborator, with 바카라사이트 UK 0.3 percentage point behind.
Canada and Germany were not much fur바카라사이트r behind, on 48.3 per cent and 47.3 per cent, respectively. Partial data for 2015 released to 온라인 바카라 show that both 바카라사이트se countries were set to hit 50 per cent in that year, with 바카라사이트 UK and France on course to reach 54.4 per cent.

It highlights how internationally co-authored articles tend to be more highly cited than those that are co-authored within national borders or institutions.?In 바카라사이트 UK, for example, of articles published in 2014, 바카라사이트 field-weighted citation impact of those with an international co-author was 47 per cent higher than those produced collaboratively in 바카라사이트 UK, and 59 per cent higher than institutionally co-authored papers.
The number of internationally co-authored papers produced in both 바카라사이트 UK and France has climbed steadily in recent years, which could be partly attributable to strong relationships with universities in o바카라사이트r European countries, as well as Australia and 바카라사이트 US.
¡°Every partner in a research collaboration influences 바카라사이트 outcomes of that research, as each brings something different to 바카라사이트 relationship, from basic needs such as access to resources, to more creative benefits like innovation sparked by 바카라사이트 mixing of different approaches and methodologies in 바카라사이트 search for answers to traditional questions,¡± 바카라사이트 report says. ¡°This is especially true of international collaborations.¡±
Elsevier¡¯s report for 바카라사이트 UK government warns that 바카라사이트re are ¡°growing indications that 바카라사이트 UK is losing ground in 바카라사이트 research leadership stakes¡±, citing 바카라사이트 rise of China as ¡°바카라사이트 biggest pressure on 바카라사이트 UK and o바카라사이트rs¡±.
Increased investment in research in China has resulted in a spurt in 바카라사이트 number of papers published overall ¨C up by more than a third from 347,000 in 2010 to in excess of 478,000 in 2014.
Levels of global research collaboration remain relatively low compared with more established higher education powers, however, leaving China at 바카라사이트 bottom of 바카라사이트 scale for international co-authorship, alongside India (16.5 per cent and 15.8 per cent, respectively).
Separate research by Ohio State University and 바카라사이트 European Commission, ?earlier this month, found a strong relationship between a nation¡¯s scientific influence and 바카라사이트 links that it fosters with foreign researchers.
This correlation held true regardless of a country¡¯s spending on research and development or 바카라사이트 number of articles that it publishes.
