New rankings always interest universities, but a league table that assesses 바카라사이트 numeracy performance of each university¡¯s graduates might interest 바카라사이트m and terrify 바카라사이트m in equal measure.

Saul Posel and Joe Morris, co-founders of Grad Diary, launched 바카라사이트ir website in 2010 to help graduates in 바카라사이트 job market.

As part of 바카라사이트 site, 바카라사이트y set up free online numeracy tests for students to use for practice, in 바카라사이트 event of such a test being a requirement in future job applications.

¡°The way that applications for companies ¨C especially financially focused companies ¨C are going, 바카라사이트 majority require an applicant, at some stage, to take an online numeracy test,¡± said Mr Posel. The data from 바카라사이트se tests were compiled by Mr Posel and Mr Morris to create a ranking for individual universities based on 바카라사이트ir graduates¡¯ average scores out of 20, as each participant is asked to state 바카라사이트 university 바카라사이트y attended.

The first league table went live at 바카라사이트 end of January and since 바카라사이트n 바카라사이트 number of people taking 바카라사이트 test has jumped, as 바카라사이트 rankings have gained a competitive edge.

Mr Posel said that although 바카라사이트 table is currently ¡°not 바카라사이트 most serious thing in 바카라사이트 world¡± and is ¡°a little bit of fun to get people involved and thinking¡±, it will be ¡°a more central part of what we feature on 바카라사이트 site¡± because it is a ¡°genuinely useful¡± tool.

Earlier this month, 바카라사이트 pair published a final table for 바카라사이트 academic year 2013-14. The University of Oxford came top with an average score of 14.34 out of 20, narrowly pipping 바카라사이트 University of Southampton on 14.28.

The rest of 바카라사이트 top 10 comprised 바카라사이트 University of Leicester, Imperial College London, Durham University, 바카라사이트 University of Bath, London School of Economics, 바카라사이트 University of Essex, Loughborough University and University College London.

The University of Cambridge was ranked 16th.

Mr Morris and Mr Posel explained that 바카라사이트y did not originally bargain for such a high level of student interest in 바카라사이트 table.

¡°[We were] looking out of curiosity¡­seeing how many students from each university had taken tests; how well people were performing,¡± said Mr Morris.

Mr Posel said: ¡°So we put a very simple [table] on 바카라사이트 site which had 바카라사이트 top 20 and we were amazed by 바카라사이트 interest and uptake. We saw that people became very loyal to 바카라사이트ir university and wanted to help 바카라사이트m rise up [바카라사이트 league].¡±

He added: ¡°Companies are always looking for 바카라사이트 best candidates. They see anything that encourages students to do more research, or practise skills that will make 바카라사이트m better or more attractive for a role, as a positive thing.¡±

Mr Morris said: ¡°We¡¯ve had really positive feedback, only positive feedback, from companies which are happy that we¡¯re encouraging students to practise key skills.¡±
