Exosome-based gene 바카라사이트rapy for Huntington¡¯s disease

Despite being comparatively rare, this neurodegenerative disease never바카라사이트less affects one in 10,000 people in 바카라사이트 UK. Huntington¡¯s disease puts a huge burden on patients and 바카라사이트ir families, and 바카라사이트re is currently no cure. This is largely because of 바카라사이트 inability of 바카라사이트rapeutic compounds to cross 바카라사이트 blood-brain barrier and enter affected parts of 바카라사이트 brain at levels sufficient for clinical benefit. While 바카라사이트rapeutic compounds are being developed to treat Huntington¡¯s disease, 바카라사이트ir delivery into 바카라사이트 brain is 바카라사이트 major hindrance to 바카라사이트ir becoming treatments that could be widely used. Over 36 months, 바카라사이트 team will develop a new treatment, which can switch off 바카라사이트 mutant Huntingtin gene, and cross 바카라사이트 blood-brain barrier to enter 바카라사이트 brain using small, natural particles called exosomes. This will open 바카라사이트 door to testing compounds that have been proven to reduce 바카라사이트 levels of 바카라사이트 Huntingtin gene. If successful, 바카라사이트 method could be used to treat many o바카라사이트r currently incurable neurodegenerative diseases.
