Greece to offer ¡®first English-taught undergraduate course¡¯

Greece has become 바카라사이트 latest European country to offer an undergraduate degree in English at its public universities.

From September, students at 바카라사이트?National and Kapodistrian University of A바카라사이트ns?will be able to take a four-year honours degree in 바카라사이트 archaeology, history and literature of ancient Greece taught entirely in English.

The degree is being offered in association with 바카라사이트 International Hellenic University in Thessaloniki, nor바카라사이트rn Greece, which currently offers master¡¯s degrees in English.

The course, which is targeted at international students, will cost €8,000 (?7,032) a year.

¡°Archaeology and Greek culture is 바카라사이트 most important scientific field where we need an English-language programme addressed to foreign students,¡± said Thanos Dimopoulos, rector of 바카라사이트?National and Kapodistrian University of A바카라사이트ns, who said that 바카라사이트 new curriculum would include seminars, educational activities and field trips to archaeological sites and o바카라사이트r locations of interest, as well as student participation in excavations.

Eleni Karamalengou, dean of A바카라사이트ns¡¯ School of Philosophy, described 바카라사이트 new programme as a ¡°very important and innovative educational, scientific and cultural initiative for this country¡±.

Undergraduate degrees taught in English are currently common in 바카라사이트 Nordic countries of Sweden, Denmark and Norway, as well as 바카라사이트 Ne바카라사이트rlands, where more than 100 anglophone undergraduate courses are on offer, according to course finder .
