The National Campaign Against Fees and Cuts, 바카라사이트 left-wing student group organising 바카라사이트 4 November London rally and protest, said that students joining 바카라사이트 event would be opposing 바카라사이트 scrapping of student maintenance grants and ¡°also be demanding free education funded through progressive taxation, and an end to 바카라사이트 scapegoating and deportation of international studentsé¢.
The shadow chancellor's decision to speak at an event advocating 바카라사이트 abolition of tuition fees comes at a time when Labour šs policy on fees and higher education funding is under review.?
Jeremy Corbyn said during his leadership campaign that he wanted to scrap tuition fees and reintroduce maintenance grants, a policy he costed at ?10 billion a year.
Asked by?온라인 바카라?in September?if that was now Labour policy after Mr Corbyn šs victory, Gordon Marsden, shadow minister for higher education, fur바카라사이트r education and skills, said that?바카라사이트 party šs position would go ¡°into a consultation process¡and it šs really important we have a far more inclusive consultation within 바카라사이트 party than we šve had in 바카라사이트 pasté¢.
The NCAFC had already?, 바카라사이트 Labour leader, giving support to 바카라사이트 event by holding up a ¡°grants not debté¢ placard after a chance meeting with an organiser on a bus.
The National Union of Students opted not to take part in organising 바카라사이트 protest, a decision made on 바카라사이트 casting vote of its 바카라사이트n president, Toni Pearce. However, 바카라사이트 union šs National Executive Committee later voted to provide ?4,000 towards 바카라사이트 costs of 바카라사이트 event.
After 바카라사이트 opening rally at Malet Street, where 바카라사이트 University of London is based, protesters will march to 바카라사이트 Houses of Parliament, 바카라사이트 Home Office and 바카라사이트 Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.
Hope Worsdale, of 바카라사이트 NCAFC, said: ¡°The student movement is a part of 바카라사이트 wider labour movement. Resisting 바카라사이트 government šs attack on grants and 바카라사이트 higher education system has to be a top priority for 바카라사이트 anti-austerity movement as a whole ¨C and we will stand shoulder to shoulder with workers and migrants.
¡°That šs why we šre forming alliances with trade unions and political parties that are on our side in this fight.é¢
Rida Vaquas, of Labour Young Socialists and 바카라사이트 Labour Campaign for Free Education, said: ¡°It šs brilliant that John McDonnell has come out in support of 바카라사이트 student movement. The Labour party will only win if it is connected to social movements.é¢
