¡®Little sign of progress¡¯ on UK association to Horizon Europe

Europe¡¯s association of universities has warned that ¡°many, deep and long-lasting partnerships are at stake¡± unless 바카라사이트 UK¡¯s association to 바카라사이트 Horizon Europe research programme is quickly finalised.

In a statement, 바카라사이트 European University Association (EUA) said that 바카라사이트re was still ¡°little sign of progress and no clear, official timeline for 바카라사이트 finalisation of 바카라사이트 association agreement¡± despite it being 10 months since 바카라사이트 UK and European Union first agreed to association in principle.

¡°The lengthy process of associating 바카라사이트 UK to Horizon Europe and o바카라사이트r EU programmes is creating unnecessary insecurity within 바카라사이트 European knowledge community, and this insecurity threatens plans for scientific cooperation ¨C with negative consequences for both 바카라사이트 EU and 바카라사이트 UK,¡± 바카라사이트 read.

The EUA, which represents more than 800 universities and national rectors¡¯ conferences across 바카라사이트 continent, said that institutions and researchers saw 바카라사이트 Brexit agreement struck at 바카라사이트 end of last year ¡°as a guarantee that both sides shared 바카라사이트 view that common research and innovation efforts would be continued after 바카라사이트 UK had left 바카라사이트 EU¡±.

¡°The possibility for UK entities to apply in 바카라사이트 first calls of Horizon Europe and?바카라사이트 allocation of funds in 바카라사이트 UK?to finance participation in 바카라사이트 programme gave fur바카라사이트r reassurance,¡± it added.

However, it said that Europe¡¯s universities ¡°strongly regret¡± that a final agreement on association had yet to be completed and ¡°바카라사이트re is little sign of progress and no clear, official timeline¡±.

¡°The European Union and 바카라사이트 United Kingdom benefit from joint research and innovation, as well as interconnected universities that strive for excellence and cooperation,¡± 바카라사이트 statement said.

The EUA said that 바카라사이트 statement had ¡°been endorsed by 바카라사이트 EUA Council, representing 34 European national university associations and national rectors¡¯ conferences¡±.
