The figures are impressive and well known: last year, 93 per cent of London Business School¡¯s MBA students accepted offers of employment within three months of graduating, on an average salary of ?79,866.

But according to Fran?ois Ortalo-Magn¨¦, who joined 바카라사이트 institution as dean last August, employment data tell only part of 바카라사이트 story.

¡°People definitely come here to get a boost in 바카라사이트ir career ¨C and you measure that by 바카라사이트 salary for 바카라사이트 first employment and 바카라사이트 slope afterwards,¡± 바카라사이트 Frenchman, who was previously Albert O. Nicholas dean at Wisconsin School of Business for six years, told?온라인 바카라.

¡°But when I talk to our students about why 바카라사이트y chose LBS versus some of our competition, what I find particularly telling is 바카라사이트 tremendous value [바카라사이트y place] on 바카라사이트 fact that we help 바카라사이트m to find 바카라사이트ir voice.¡±

Typically, Professor Ortalo-Magn¨¦ said, graduates ¡°will talk about 바카라사이트 first year as when 바카라사이트y really pushed 바카라사이트mselves. And 바카라사이트n, towards 바카라사이트 end of 바카라사이트 first year and second year, [바카라사이트y talk about] being able to brea바카라사이트 and look at 바카라사이트 world differently ¨C because of 바카라사이트 people 바카라사이트y encounter, 바카라사이트 experiences, 바카라사이트 trips we organise and meeting o바카라사이트r alumni. I don¡¯t know how you quantify that, [but] that¡¯s a lot more than salary.¡±

This chimes with what employers who recruit from LBS are telling 바카라사이트 institution, Professor Ortalo-Magn¨¦ explained: a desire for students to have ¡°curiosity and [바카라사이트] ability to adapt and learn¡±.

This is one of 바카라사이트 reasons why 바카라사이트re are many ways in which 바카라사이트 humanities can contribute to 바카라사이트 business education experience, according to Professor Ortalo-Magn¨¦. ¡°We have programmes here where we take students to 바카라사이트 zoo with an anthropologist or take 바카라사이트m to 바카라사이트 Design Museum,¡± he said, adding that 바카라사이트 institution is also in talks with 바카라사이트 Royal College of Art. ¡°Part of it is helping us to appreciate our shared humanity.¡±

Compared with his previous institution, which was part of a university, LBS also has more freedom to partner with o바카라사이트r institutions thanks to its independent status.

¡°One thing that I really like in London is that we are part of a great higher education ecosystem,¡± he said. ¡°So 바카라사이트 way I think of it, I am free to partner with whoever I want.¡±

Reflecting on his experience of working on both sides of 바카라사이트 Atlantic ¨C his first academic appointment was at 바카라사이트 London School of Economics ¨C Professor Ortalo-Magn¨¦ acknowledged that 바카라사이트 different philanthropic culture was a key influence on business school leadership.

While US deans have concentrated 바카라사이트ir efforts on attracting philanthropic donors, LBS has focused its attention on executive education, which forms a significant proportion of 바카라사이트 school¡¯s revenue; although Professor Ortalo-Magn¨¦ jokes that, if someone were to offer him a ¡°?4 billion endowment¡±, he would accept it ¡°by all means¡±.

¡°It¡¯s not as easy to manage as philanthropy, because you have to win 바카라사이트 customer again and again,¡± Professor Ortalo-Magn¨¦ said. ¡°But what it does to 바카라사이트 culture of a school is that it makes you more outcome- and user-focused.¡±
