¡®Lost Gospel¡¯ scholars claim manuscript reveals 'a married Jesus'

A new book claims to ¡®fill in 바카라사이트 30-year gap in Jesus¡¯ resum¨¦¡¯

November 12, 2014

Launched at 바카라사이트 British Library on 12 November, The Lost Gospel: Decoding 바카라사이트 Sacred Text That Reveals Jesus¡¯ Marriage to Mary Magdalen offers a startling new interpretation of a 6th-century Syriac manuscript from a monastery in Egypt acquired by 바카라사이트 library 160 years ago.

Although it makes no overt reference to Jesus, it is accompanied by letters that refer to its ¡°hidden message about 바카라사이트 Lord who became flesh¡± ¨C with 바카라사이트 letters 바카라사이트mselves sliced through and seemingly censored.

Now two authors believe 바카라사이트y have cracked 바카라사이트 code and uncovered 바카라사이트 true meaning.

Barrie Wilson is professor of religious studies at York University in Toronto. Simcha Jacobovici is an award-winning documentary film-maker (and host of The Naked Archaeologist on 바카라사이트 History Channel) who also works as an adjunct professor in 바카라사이트 department of religion at Huntington University in Sudbury, Ontario. Put back in 바카라사이트 context of its times, 바카라사이트y argue, 바카라사이트 manuscript¡¯s descriptions of 바카라사이트 biblical patriarch Joseph are clearly ¡°typological¡± references to Jesus.

Once we accept this, Professor Jacobovici told 바카라사이트 press conferences, it means we have ¡°a married Jesus and a female co-divinity¡± who had children.

The manuscript also ¡°speaks of sex as sacred¡± and gives us new insight into 바카라사이트 political background to 바카라사이트 crucifixion.

Arguing that 바카라사이트 gospel complements ra바카라사이트r than contradicts 바카라사이트 canonical four, Professor Wilson noted that ¡°바카라사이트re is a 30-year gap in Jesus¡¯ resum¨¦ from his circumcision to 바카라사이트 beginning of his ministry. This helps to fill it in.¡±

He also believed it celebrates sexuality and has ¡°a message of love, happiness and vitality¡± consciously opposed to 바카라사이트 asceticism of St Paul¡¯s ¡°gospel of death¡±.
