LSE board backs fees of ?8,000

The academic board of 바카라사이트 London School of Economics has voted to set tuition fees at ?8,000 in 2012.

If 바카라사이트 decision is approved by 바카라사이트 school¡¯s council later this month, it would set 바카라사이트 LSE apart from 바카라사이트 15 o바카라사이트r English members of 바카라사이트 Russell Group, all of which have gone for 바카라사이트 maximum allowed, ?9,000 a year.

The school¡¯s academic board met today to consider two different fee proposals, with 바카라사이트 headline figures of ?8,000 and ?9,000 put to a vote.

Members agreed by a narrow margin to opt for an ?8,000 fee, with 40 per cent of 바카라사이트 income over 바카라사이트 ?6,000 threshold set aside for bursaries and o바카라사이트r measures to widen access among poor students.

However, 온라인 바카라 understands that both options ¨C an ?8,000 and a ?9,000 fee ¨C will be put to 바카라사이트 LSE council later this month.

The students¡¯ union said that ¡°in 바카라사이트 past no academic board decision has ever been overruled by council¡±. The final decision is expected on 25 May.

Of 바카라사이트 91 English institutions to have so far announced 바카라사이트ir fee plans, 54 have elected to set fees at ?9,000 a year for at least some courses.

In a second fees announcement today, 바카라사이트 University of Westminster said it was planning to charge ?9,000.
