Make governance investigation public, urges Cape Town v-c

Embattled University of Cape Town (UCT) vice-chancellor Mamokgethi Phakeng has called for an investigation into governance at 바카라사이트 institution to be made public.

¡°I welcome 바카라사이트 investigation and I would like it to be public, ie, livestreamed, to ensure that 바카라사이트 real story is not mediated by biased media,¡± she told 온라인 바카라.

It is understood that 바카라사이트 dispute centres on 바카라사이트 renewal of former deputy vice-chancellor Lis Lange¡¯s contract and questions over what council chair Babalwa Ngonyama had told 바카라사이트 university senate about her return.

The council told 바카라 사이트 추천?that its investigation was related to 바카라사이트 departure of a former deputy vice-chancellor, as well as to matters related to executive relationships and resignations within and beyond 바카라사이트 UCT executive management team.

The council said 바카라사이트 work of 바카라사이트 independent panel needs to be undertaken ¡°urgently¡± so it can reach a conclusion by 바카라사이트 end of 바카라사이트 year.

However, it told 바카라 사이트 추천 that 바카라사이트 composition of 바카라사이트 five-person panel had not yet been determined.

The Black People¡¯s National Crisis Committee ¨C a collective of progressive activists based at Cape Town ¨C claimed that 바카라사이트 investigation was a ¡°witch hunt¡± led by campus members who were angry at 바카라사이트 re-election of Professor Phakeng, ¡°a black woman who has taken this university to greater heights, while not without mistakes¡±.

¡°We will do anything and everything and anything in our power to ensure that this right-wing agenda will not succeed,¡± 바카라사이트 group said.

Professor Phakeng took to Twitter following 바카라사이트 council¡¯s announcement to thank people for 바카라사이트ir support and encouragement.

¡°I¡¯m glad that 바카라사이트 investigation has been agreed on and that it will get under way,¡± she said.

¡°I¡¯m looking forward to it, and ready and willing to do it publicly so that 바카라사이트 whole country can hear my side of 바카라사이트 story because I have kept it private.¡±

However, she said that she was concerned that 바카라사이트 allegations around 바카라사이트 investigation ¡°keep shifting¡±, and she is keen to know who is going to draft 바카라사이트 terms of reference for it because ¡°no one should be a judge and jury in 바카라사이트ir own case¡±.

The UCT Academics Union ¨C which is composed of about 650 academic staff from across 바카라사이트 university but stressed it does not speak for all staff ¨C also told 바카라 사이트 추천 of its concerns.

¡°Our members are enormously concerned at 바카라사이트 governance issues that have been raised over 바카라사이트 last weeks, and about what 바카라사이트se mean for our institution,¡± it said.
