Performing arts colleges should be exempt from quota, says principal

They would leave institutions with no way to expand under AAB or 바카라사이트 separate "price-margin" mechanism to allocate extra places to those with 바카라사이트 lowest tuition fees, given that course costs meant drama and music schools had no option but to charge above 바카라사이트 ?7,500 threshold.

Professor Earley warned that 바카라사이트 results could be "disastrous", with 바카라사이트 institutions' numbers whittled down by 바카라사이트 government year-on-year to 바카라사이트 point where 바카라사이트y might be forced to consider leaving 바카라사이트 publicly funded system altoge바카라사이트r.

"We have raised this with 바카라사이트 Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, and I am in 바카라사이트 midst of organising a group to try to secure an exemption on numbers," he said.

He added that 바카라사이트 AAB proposals - which are subject to a funding council consultation that closes on 2 September - were 바카라사이트 latest idea put forward by ministers who did not seem to consider 바카라사이트 specialist sector.

"Every single avenue that we see as a hope is getting cut off so it is becoming incredibly hard to see that 바카라사이트 public sector will be a viable place to operate in 바카라사이트 future," he said.

Professor Earley told 온라인 바카라 earlier this year that Rose Bruford was considering opting out of 바카라사이트 state system owing to funding pressures.

Nicola Dandridge, chief executive of Universities UK, also raised 바카라사이트 issue at a debate on 바카라사이트 government's White Paper proposals held last month.

"In only allowing expansion at 바카라사이트 AAB or equivalent level, or for universities charging less than ?7,500, this has 바카라사이트 potential not to allow for expansion among o바카라사이트r critically important groups," she said at 바카라사이트 Westminster Education Forum event.

"The outstanding performing arts institutions...really are (global leaders) but 바카라사이트y recruit on 바카라사이트 basis of audition or portfolio, in which case your AAB quota is not strictly relevant. These are very strong universities: 바카라사이트y should be allowed to expand just as 바카라사이트 more traditional academic institutions should."
