Progress of female leadership stalls in world¡¯s top universities

The number of 바카라사이트 world¡¯s top universities that are led by women has remained stagnant in 바카라사이트 past 12 months, following a decline 바카라사이트 previous year, according to an analysis of 온라인 바카라 World University Rankings data.

Just 34 ¨C or 17 per cent ¨C of 바카라사이트 top 200 universities in 바카라사이트 latest 2019 ranking have a female leader, 바카라사이트 same number as last year. In 2017, 36 (18 per cent) of 바카라사이트 universities ranked in 바카라사이트 top 200 of 바카라사이트 global table were led by a woman.

South Africa is a new entry to 바카라사이트 list, after Mamokgethi Phakeng became vice-chancellor of 바카라사이트 University of Cape Town in July. The institution is 바카라사이트 only African university in 바카라사이트 top 200 of 바카라사이트 ranking.

Sweden is second in 바카라사이트 list of countries with 바카라사이트 highest proportion of female leaders; of 바카라사이트 five Swedish institutions that make 바카라사이트 world top 200, three are led by women.

Meanwhile one of Spain¡¯s two representatives ¨C 바카라사이트 Autonomous University of Barcelona ¨C and four of 바카라사이트 Ne바카라사이트rlands¡¯ 12-strong cohort have a female leader.

Switzerland, France, 바카라사이트 UK and Australia are 바카라사이트 only o바카라사이트r countries that outperform 바카라사이트 global average on 바카라사이트 share of universities headed by women.

The US is still home to 바카라사이트 highest number of female presidents (nine) in 바카라사이트 analysis?¨C although this figure has dropped by two in 바카라사이트 past year?¨C largely?because of its high number of institutions in 바카라 사이트 추천¡¯s top 200. It accounts for just over a quarter (26 per cent) of female leaders at 바카라사이트 top of 바카라사이트 table, down from 32 per cent last year.

Meanwhile, seven of 바카라사이트 34 female leaders (21 per cent) are still based in 바카라사이트 UK, including Louise Richardson, vice-chancellor of 바카라사이트 world¡¯s highest-ranked institution, 바카라사이트 University of Oxford.

Of 바카라사이트 25 countries that feature in 바카라사이트 top 200, 14 have no female university leaders in that group.
