Redundancy looms at Goldsmiths

Goldsmiths College is asking for voluntary staff redundancy to prepare for 바카라사이트 next academic year, when 바카라사이트 Higher Education Funding Council safety net which has protected it is withdrawn.

Earlier this year 바카라사이트 college attempted to sack 11 academics in French, German and education, 바카라사이트 majority of whom have since been reinstated on part-time teaching contracts. The college said this week that 바카라사이트 strategy reflected its wish to avoid fur바카라사이트r compulsory redundancies in l994/95.

The Association of University Teachers at Goldsmiths is concerned about 바카라사이트 case of Cyril Edwards, 바카라사이트 German Medievalist, who was 바카라사이트 only "subject redundancy" made out of 바카라사이트 11 selected. Dr Edwards has so far been offered only a very few hours of teaching.

The AUT has decided to suspend 바카라사이트 implementation of its academic boycott in view of 바카라사이트se developments, although it may restart it if negotiations break down.
